The popular European show "Art on Ice" will make its China debut in Shanghai this month. Featuring a line-up of successful ice skaters and Chinese pianist Lang Lang, the show will be held on June 18-19 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. China's two-time figure skating world champion pair of Pang Qing and Tong Jian will lead the star-studded cast. Other skaters include the three-time German world champion pair of Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy, 2011 World Championships pairs silver medalists Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov from Russia, 2008 ice dancing world champions, Isabelle Delobel and Olivier Schonfelder from France and men's singles world champion Stephane Lambiel from Switzerland. The musicians will be led by Lang, China's most famous concert pianist, who will perform some classical pieces. "Art on Ice" was established in 1995 in Switzerland and is based on the compelling theme of figure skaters performing to live music. The introduction of this event to China is another example of Infront's 'Gateway China' service, specifically designed to encourage European-based companies and sports entities to enter the Chinese market - and vice versa.
